If you’re having trouble getting rid of those sugar cravings as I SO desperately have, you need to try this recipe.

Game. Changer.

According to the lovely Wellness Mama, “Chia seeds are mini powerhouses packing more calcium than milk, more antioxidants than blueberries and more Omega-3 than Salmon.”

Chia seed pudding is made in a matter of minutes and can be combined with any fruits, some honey, maybe even some nuts? Do you love dates as much as we do? Yummy! To create a perfectly nutritious and delicious dessert or snack. I seriously cannot get enough! 

Here’s how we do it:

Ingredients:

2 cups coconut milk (or can be subsidized with almond milk)

1/2 cup Chia Seeds

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

A dab of sweetener (we like to add in a bit of honey)

Whisk all ingredients together. Or for a more consistent blend, throw ingredients into a blender. This also helps when adding in some extra flavors like fruits or nuts. 

To make your pudding a little bit sweeter, add in some chocolate like the wonderful Minimalist Baker does to make it feel like more of a dessert and satisfy that craving. The Minimalist Baker adds in some cacao powder as well as a dash of cinnamon. Ooh la la! I personally love to add chopped up fruit a bit of shredded coconut on top of mine.

After ingredients have been whisked together, let them sit in the fridge overnight. I love to throw the ingredients together before I go to bed so I wake up to the PERFECT chia seed pudding.
