You may have seen her at the gym. Heck you probably are her! She's the woman who has that focused look in her eye, moving through her exercises methodically, sticking to what is obviously a precisely timed workout that has to be completed in plenty of time for her to shower & get back to her other duties. Her "Mom Duties!" Yes, you have seen her, you are her & she is a machine in many ways. She is busy juggling all the elements of mom life & at the same time is managing to make some time for herself & her health. And guess what else? She is looking mighty fine too! Yup, those workouts are giving mom a sexy shape & bringing back her curves & her confidence. Mom is looking & feeling great!

There is another bonus to the time that moms are putting aside to dedicate to gym workouts & doing some weight bearing exercises. It's a proactive & very impactful thing to do to help prevent osteoporosis related fractures & injuries. Did you know that osteoporosis is estimated to affect 200 million women worldwide? Approximately one-tenth of women aged 60, one-fifth of women aged 70, two-fifths of women aged 80 and two-thirds of women aged 90. Did you also know that in women over 45 years of age, osteoporosis accounts for more days spent in hospital than many other diseases, including diabetes, myocardial infarction and breast cancer? Guess what else? According to the National Institute of Health . . . "the best exercise for building and maintaining bone mass is weight-bearing exercise; exercise that you do on your feet and that forces you to work against gravity."
