We are very proud to announce to the world, The Workout Princess is based out of beautiful Denver, Colorado as many of you are already fully aware. In Denver, luckily for us, there are so many great ways to stay active. Yes, there are a great number of gyms scattered all over the city but let’s not limit ourselves here. Here are a list of other fun ways we Denver folk get out there and stay active without heading to the gym!
It is a well known fact that we have many California transplants here in Colorado. The people at City Surf Fitness recognize that California natives miss their ocean and surf and so, they have brought the surf to you. Designed for participants at any fitness level, this workout takes place on top of surfboards spaced out in a group setting. Their original class was based off of the experience of surfing itself targeting the same muscles through similar movements though they also have a yoga-inspired class. Check out City Surf in Highlands for your other class options!

Denver Cruiser Night
Let’s get a little funkier. In Denver, Wednesday night doesn’t just mean ladies night. On Wednesdays, we do Denver Cruiser Ride. Every week during the summer there is a new theme for Denver Cruiser Ride from a pack of super heroes to glow in the dark. Participants dress up according to theme and meet at 7 PM at either The Ginn Mill or Little Machine Beer. From there, they proceed to a second, secret location. But maybe it’s not Wednesday, and you’re looking to roll around the city? Denver B-cycle has put stations of red bikes all over the city for you to pedal. At any station, you can rent a cruiser bike that you pay for hourly. Perfect for family outings and tours! See the whole city on two wheels for cheap.

Have you ever been to Top Golf? If you haven’t already, you need to go. Top Golf has completely redefined the golf world. At Top Golf, you and a group of friends or family members, rent out a booth of the stadium that becomes your personalized golfing platform. From your platform, you golf out into the deep targets in the field. Each ball hit out into the field has a tracker on it that is able to track the points you make from each hit into the target. Make sense? But just wait a second. It gets better. From your booth, participants can also order food and drinks (full bar!) as you sit back comfortably and watch your friends golf. It is so fun!

The Denver Undy Run and Denver Color Run
Looking to raise money for a good cause? There are 2 events that come to mind; The Undie 500 and The Color Run. Both events are not your average running events. Are you tired of wearing clothes out in public? In The Undie 500, participants strip down to their underwear and run/walk a 5K to raise money for colon cancer. Maybe you’re looking to get a little bit dirty? In The Color Run, participants are coated in rainbow chalk and glitter as they run their 5k. The Color Run partners with The Global Charity Project. The event is advertised as “The Happiest 5K On The Planet”. On the planet! How could you not want to participate?
